It has been more than a week since we opened the doors of the Tanjung Aru Library. The response from the members of the public has been phenomenal. So far 39,355 of you have visited us, 5,105 of you became members and 4,554 books were borrowed.
We thank you for your support.
Sadly, we saw vandalism at the Children’s library. Some of you asked: where were the staff? The question here is: where is our duty as responsible citizens? We need everybody’s cooperation to reprimand any actions deemed irresponsible and destructive. With this kind of cooperation we are sure to be able to maintain all the facilities provided.
Civic mindedness needs to be taught from home. It is the responsibility of parents to teach their children to respect public properties.
The Children’s library which was closed for repairs has been reopened since April 11, 2019. When you visit us, please be mindful, be respectful. The library is meant for all to enjoy.
