June 26 is the International Day Against Drug Abuse as per resolution 42/112 of 7 December 1987 of the United Nations General Assembly.
This year, the theme is “Listen First - Listening to children and youth is the first step to help them grow healthy and safe." It is an initiative to increase support for prevention of drug use that is based on science and is thus an effective investment in the well-being of children and youth, their families and their communities.
In support of this day, we have put together a list of books on drugs, youth, and children that is available at the library. Don’t do drugs. It will not only destroy you but your family and loved-ones as well.
